The saying that “New brooms sweep clean”, is especially true for the new legislators that are hard at work.
Senator Ted Cruz is leading a group of GOP senators in reintroducing Ted’s proposed amendment to the Constitution that would place term limits on members of Congress. The amendment, which Cruz previously put forward in 2017 and 2019, was backed by Republican Senators Mike Braun and Todd Young of Indiana, Marco Rubio and Rick Scott of Florida and Pat Toomey of Pennsylvania. If enacted, the amendment will limit Senators to 2 six-year terms and members of the House of Representatives to 3, two-year terms. Currently, there are no term limits for either chamber of Congress.

Freshman Georgia Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene has already put forward a motion to impeach Biden.
Congressman Troy Nehls (R) former Sheriff of Fort Bend county Texas, has achieved his goal to be appointed to the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee. He now has jurisdiction over all modes of transportation: aviation, maritime and waterborne transportation, highways, bridges, mass transit, and railroads. Beth Van Duyne (R) Texas  hit the ground running. She said that she does not want to waste time on “Political theatre”. She urged GOP House members to 'refuse any and all' Big Tech money over 'censorship'. She said they are using their "power" to "silence conservative voices." This call comes after Social Media Twitter permanently banned President Trump.

Beth Van Duyne (R) Texas said Big Tech are using their "power" to "silence conservative voices."

Cruz believes that restricting the number of times members of Congress can be re-elected, is a good way to drain the swamp in D.C. Many politicians begin honestly but end up on the dark side. The amendment would limit senators to two six-year terms while limiting House members to three two-year terms. Ted Cruz said, “With term limits, we will have more frequent changes in leadership and within Congressional Committees, giving reformers a better chance at overcoming the Beltway inertia that resists attempts to reduce the power of Washington,” He added in a written statement:“ It is well past time to put an end to the cronyism that has transformed Washington into a graveyard of good intentions. Favors for the political elite have gone on for far too long. In Washington, where corruption and collusion thrive, entrenched politicians forget their promises, while those who don’t oblige are shunned. Congressional term limits are critical to stopping the ongoing abuse by D.C. insiders,” he said.
