Reporting is all about stirring up fear of the virus. Now that we have a Vaccine by Pfizer, will the Hype reporting subside? This Covid-19 vaccine is 90% effective at preventing the virus.
This parody skit on Journalism techniques is amusing to watch:
The stock market and U.S. Treasury yields jumped on news of this successful late-stage vaccine, in hope that the economy will recover.
Lockdown and Lockdown control in the U.K. have gone so far that the government has told people what they are not allowed to do in their own homes and has encouraged East German style snitching.
The 30-day lagging fatality rate for Texas, is a bit less than 2%. I'm skeptical about all the media hype and think that we will begin to see a decline in the case-fatality rate as we are seeing clear signs of a divergence of the increase in positive testing results and serious disease outcomes. Doctors have learnt how to cure the virus and the therapeutics developed by Drug companies are increasingly better, so fewer deaths are occurring. The Cares Act does offer financial incentives to Hospitals to declare fatalities as Covid19 fatalities so I'm not sure that the cause of deaths on the certificates are always accurate.
The agreement with Pfizer, BioNTech and the U.S.Departmentof Health and Human Services and the Department of Defense to meet the U.S.Government's Operation Warp Speed program goal to begin delivering 30 milliondoses of the vaccine for COVID-19.
